C is one of my dearest friends. Her son C and her daughter S are good friends with my kiddos and are in the same classes at school. The twins, S and S are adorable, and forgive me every time I mess up on their names (which is often). We met up yesterday at the park, and set out on an hour long journey to capture their personalities. And boy, do they ever have personality. I love these kids, this family - and This job. Don't I have the best job ever? I think so.
The “C” Family
I love an overcast day. It gives so many options for amazing shots of wonderful families like the “C” family. I’ve known them for a while now, and I’ve been pestering hoping that one day they’d let me take some family portraits. Today was the day that I got to meet up with them and their three little boys bounding with energy and capture some of those great moments. In case you can’t tell J and I are twins, and A is their little brother. Also – mommy is expecting one more soon (which of course I’m totally pestering asking her if I can take portraits of that precious little one when he/she gets here as well…) They are just one incredible family, and I’m blessed to count them among friends.
Without further ado…The “C” Family!
The Marvelous “M” family
I had the opportunity recently to meet and chat with the momma of the “M” family. We have chatted quite a bit and discovered some amazing similarities in our lives. For example, she has five children…as do I.
It’s been a lot of fun getting to know her, and I was especially honored when she asked if I’d take pictures of her family while all of her children were home for the summer. TWIST MY ARM!
We had a fabulous time, even in the heat and wind…(Arizona IS a convection oven in the summer time…seriously.) But – her boys are so full of energy and her daughter was a pure ray of sunshine. I had a blast. Thank you “M” family!
More of the Fabulous “L” family…
I met up with the “L” family again yesterday to re-shoot some of their family shots. The first time around poor little M was not feeling well and we were short on smiles…so we decided to give it one more try. I do have to say, I don’t think I’ve ever had as much fun with another family yet as I’ve had with them. I actually had a great excuse to play on the playground with them and their two amazing girls and run around barefoot in the grass. Now THAT’S my idea of “work.”
Thank you again “L” family! I can’t wait until the next time!
The “L” Family
There is honestly nothing I love better than a sunny day, my camera, and cute families to photograph. That’s exactly what I got with the “L” Family. Their two little girls, M and S were adorable, even if they weren’t too fond of the idea of taking pictures, at first anyway.
S was really attached to the ducks, and the park we went to had a ton of them! We were being followed by ducks everywhere we went, which was awesome, because they were the muse S needed to smile big and wide. I may need to invest in a few ducklings for future family shoots…just sayin’
Anyway –without further ado…The fabulous L family…
Posed–Headshots for C + N
I had the pleasure on Friday of meeting N and C – two amazing guys with high aspirations for life. They needed some professional headshots done that they could use as they pursued their acting careers…I was more than happy to oblige.
We met in Downtown Chandler near a reception hall I am very familiar with. The area is a great mix of new and old Chandler – with a lot of fun places to take some great shots. We spent about two hours in parking lots, on stairways, and in the park. Both these guys had HUGE personality, and were a pleasure to shoot. (heh)
Thanks guys! It was an honor to be your first paparazzi…I am sure I won’t be the last. Good luck!
Oh and just for fun, here’s an edgy print of the amazing N and his future career as a Blues Brother…
The "M" Family
Thank you so much "M" family for letting me be a part of your day today, and sharing a bit of your happiness with me - and allowing me to capture those amazing smiles.
The "g" Family
A really great friend of mine asked if I could take some pictures of her and her husband so that they could frame them and give them to her husbands parents for Christmas. Apparently, there were no pictures of the two of them as a couple - except for their wedding pictures - and her in laws really wanted them.
I was happy to do it.
Besides, Kim and Reed are amazing people, and photograph well - and let me do whatever I want when I'm posing them, so you know, it was fun too.
Thanks Kim and Reed!
J man
I got a new camera today - well, new to me. I'm not quite sure how much I like it, but with the combination of the 50 mm 1.8 lens, I think I just might be in love.
Helps that I have a super handsome subject too. No bias at all...
My Little "Graduate"
Okay, so technically she's just moving up to seventh grade.
Seventh grade...wow, that sounds a lot worse when it's typed out like that. I haven't allowed myself to say it outloud yet.
Anyway - she allowed me to take some pictures of her after her promotion ceremony today - Beautiful as always!
I'm such a lucky person to have such a great subject to photograph...
Now...if Only I could get her to show a little personality in those pictures....(sarcasm, it's my best friend these days.)
